Come join the Render Experiences team for {More} Steps To Being Memorable! This fall, we’re introducing a four-hour interactive workshop based on our signature Steps To Bring Memorable ambassador training. It’s more activities, more storytelling, more best practices… simply put, it’s {More} Steps To Being Memorable

Why attend?

Investing in your ambassadors should be a priority. After families, they are the most important people in the campus visit experience. {More} Steps To Being Memorable is designed to accomplish a few goals:

  • Build upon past Steps To Being Memorable workshops your guides have experienced with updated curriculum and activities;

  • Allow for professional development and networking among tour guides who live in the same geographic area (more tour guide friends = more opportunities to better their craft); and

  • Provide access to ongoing training for your ambassadors at a reduced cost (in lieu of bringing our team to your campus solely for ambassador training).

Who should be there?

Your new and returning ambassadors/tour guides (or a portion thereof).  Some need a refresher, some need an introduction to our curriculum, some just think we’re funny. Wherever they are in your program, {More} Steps To Being Memorable is designed to give all attendees a foundation for being memorable, plus a little something extra. We highly recommend sending ambassador leadership for continued training with your core throughout the next year.

How (and how much)?

Payment: You have options. After registration, we can invoice you directly to process a check from your institution, or you can submit payment online via PayPal. The buttons below will direct you to the registration that best fits your preferred payment method.

Travel: Travel is up to you, but we encourage you to make a road trip with a few students (except for New York, where we’d encourage you to use public transportation.) Parking will be available at all locations.

Food: We’ll serve heavy snacks and drinks at all workshops, but lunch/dinner will be on your own. As always, we’ll make recommendations for our favorite places near each campus (hello, Philly cheesesteak, NYC dog, or New England lobster roll).

Supplies: We’ll provide everything you need for the workshop (plus some fun extras). All attendees (advisors included) will walk away with materials designed to keep the learning going year-round.

But Render, it’s July. All my ambassadors are gone for the summer. How will I know which students will be attending?

Step 1: Don’t worry. We get it. Step 2: Reserve a spot for several students, decide who is going once your students return in the fall, and send us those names in early September. (We’ll send you an email to remind you.)

What does the fee cover?

Snacks and drinks. Space. Printing materials. The usual. We wanted to keep costs low to pass savings along to you.

What are you going to cover in {More} Steps To Being Memorable?

Don’t quote us on this. We’re still brainstorming activities and content based on what we experienced this past year on tours. We anticipate the workshop will include:

  • How to create a fun, interactive greeting that breaks the ice with guests

  • Background on the importance of the campus visit experience

  • Generational theory to understand Generation X parents and Homeland/Generation Z prospective students

  • How to reframe statistics and facts as storytelling

  • Best practices in the campus visit

  • Time for general Q&A from the crowd
