Adrienne Niles, Brand Strategist

Adrienne is Render's Brand Strategist, long-time colleague, and veteran of admissions, enrollment, and higher ed marketing.

As the advisor to all things "Render brand,"  Adrienne helps guide conversations that help us better engage current and prospective clients and authentically reveal our personality and our services. When she is not collaborating with her Render peeps (whom she calls the "best and brightest" in the industry), Adrienne serves as the Dean of Enrollment at the Academy of Notre Dame de Namur in Villanova, PA—one of the best all-girls private schools on Philadelphia's (crowded) Main Line.

Adrienne is a Philadelphia-area native whose parents swear she was not named for Rocky Balboa’s love interest, despite being born just a few years after the film won three Oscars. She’s been called a foodie, techie, bookworm, jock, shopaholic and design-geek; a a wine spectator, music appreciator, and self-proclaimed “terribly inconsistent exercise enthusiast.”

Generationally speaking, Adrienne identifies as a Gen-Xer, having both the requisite sarcasm and grunge-phase photos to prove it. Technically though, she’s a Millennial “cusper”—which according to her means she "texts all of the time but feels compelled to use correct grammar and spell out words in their entirety."

Adrienne began her career at her alma mater, The University of Scranton, where she spent four years in admissions, eventually garnering leadership roles coordinating recruitment communications and managing the University Visitor Center and staff. Following the completion of her M.B.A. in 2005, Adrienne joined TargetX, a leading CRM company that helps colleges improve recruitment, retention, and advancement efforts.

While she wore many hats during her seven-year tenure at TargetX—not the least of which was “Jeff Kallay Wrangler”—Adrienne is perhaps best known for her work as creator, producer, and regular host of TargetX’s popular “Free on Friday” webcast series, which ran from 2009-2012 and was viewed by hundreds of higher ed professionals each month.

A true “intrapreneur,” Adrienne is also credited as a regular contributor to TargetX’s iThink blog and author of the weekly “XpertTip” email broadcast. She co-hosted TargetX’s “Recruiting Revolution” podcast and was responsible for the planning and execution of the annual “Xpert Summit” users conference, in addition to other one-day workshops for enrollment professionals. She guest-authored Chapter 7 of TargetX’s book Overthrowing Dead Culture (“The Conversation” a.k.a. “the social media chapter”) and contributed the article “Welcome to the Social Web” to the May 2009 issue of Higher Education Marketing Report. Over her years at TargetX, she steadily advanced within the rankings of the company and was named Vice President of Marketing at age 30. Adrienne followed her time at TargetX by joining the talented women of the Bryn Mawr College Admissions team, where she spent three years focusing on campus visits, special events, and enrollment communications.

Adrienne currently resides in Havertown, PA with her husband Brian. When she’s not working, you’ll most likely find her caught up in conversation over a glass of wine, a good meal, and great company.

According to StrengthsFinder 2.0, Adrienne’s strengths are: Strategic, Maximizer, Ideation, Futuristic, and Communication.
